The wplot2000ex program was designed to initially display maps and map-sections, but it has since grown to include a database to display various configurations. This program is useful for bookkeeping and cataloging, cooking, entertainment, healthcare and fitness, religion and astrology, shopping, sports, travel, and weather.

The aim of the program initially was to show different maps and map-sections. But, as time passed, the additional features that have been implemented into the program carried far beyond this primary target.
